Leave a Legacy
Leaving a legacy by making a gift through your will or estate plan is an amazing way to support the women’s human rights activists of the future. Advantages include:
- An ability to support the work of future generations, in a time when many systems are set up to pass on economic and environmental hardship to our children.
- More than 60% of all Americans die without a will, leaving the decisions about their assets completely out of their control at the time of death. By setting up a plan now, you can ensure that your assets are allocated in a way that expresses your most cherished values.
- You may be eligible for an estate tax deduction, and there is no upper limit on the estate tax deduction for charitable bequests, like those to Urgent Action Fund. This means you can allocate more of your money to the causes and people you want to support.
- You can conserve your assets while you need them, and give them away when you no longer do. This allows you to give a gift larger than you thought possible, to support women’s human rights around the globe.

Certain items can make very useful in-kind gifts, saving Urgent Action Fund hundreds or even thousands of dollars in overhead costs.
