Meet Our New Staff!

Urgent Action Fund is delighted to welcome three new staff members to our dynamic team of feministas. Together, they bring more than 35 years of experience in reproductive justice, human rights and philanthropy, and strengthen our work to support courageous women’s and LGBTQ human rights defenders when they need it most.

Shalini Eddens                                                                                                                                                                  Shalini Eddens | Director of Programs                                                                                         Shalini’s passion for women’s health and rights is grounded in her deep belief for justice and equity. She has an extensive background in women’s health and rights, with over 15 years of leadership experience in the grassroots public health sector in the U.S. and globally. Shalini joins Urgent Action Fund from her current role as a Program Officer for the UN Foundation in Washington, D.C.             Read more >>                                                                                                                                                                  Nathalie Margi | Senior Program Officer                                                                             Passionate about feminism and social justice, Nathalie is deeply committed to supporting grassroots activists and ensuring that global priorities are defined and driven by their experiences. Nathalie brings experience in UN policy advocacy for women’s rights and humanitarian project management in emergency situations. She is thrilled to join the Urgent Action Fund team!                                 Read more >>                                                                                                                                                        Huong Nguyen | Program Officer                                                                                               Huong brings over 15 years of experience in community economic development, sexual and reproductive health, gender and philanthropy in the U.S. and globally, including supporting women’s groups in South Asia to increase access to reproductive health services. Huong previously worked at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the Global Fund for Women.                                         Read more >>
