Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Human Rights is a global women’s fund that protects, strengthens and sustains women and trans* human rights activists and the social movements they lead at critical moments. As part of the Program team, the Program Officer will work to implement UAF’s grantmaking in the Middle East, Turkey, and Europe. This is a temporary role lasting from approximately July – December 2019 for approximately 10-20 hours/week. UAF has two offices, one in Oakland and one in New York. The position can be based in one of the offices or remotely.Development & Communications Coordinator
Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, this position coordinates development operations, contributes to fundraising efforts by increasing Urgent Action’s Fund’s visibility and manages external communications, including creating content for the organization’s website and social media communities. This position maintains high quality fundraising systems and relationships with key vendors, creates communications content and products for print and online distribution, and represents Urgent Action Fund in collaborative communications projects with allied organizations.
The Philanthropic Engagement Manager leads visibility and engagement strategies with UAF’s external stakeholders, particularly major individual donors. They play a vital role in advancing Urgent Action Fund’s work for women’s human rights. This position reports to the Executive Director and also works closely with the Partnerships Manager and the Development & Communications Officer. The position can be based in Oakland, California or New York City, with a preference for Oakland.Philanthropic Engagement Officer

Dedicated interns are an important part of our team. We generally seek undergraduate and graduate students receiving academic credits for their placement.
All intern placements require a commitment of a minimum of 10 hours per week for 15 consecutive weeks (equal to one semester). Please contact us if you are interested in an internship.
