Partnerships
Urgent Action Fund develops partnerships that nurture new resources for women’s human rights.
- With Urgent Action Fund-Africa, Urgent Action Fund-Latin America, and Urgent Action Fund-Asia& Pacific we jointly lead the Consortium of Urgent Action Funds. The Consortium leverages new philanthropic resources and develops joint research and advocacy initiatives that benefit women human rights defenders globally.
- We resource resilience in women’s movements through partnerships with emerging and established women’s funds. We help other women’s funds to launch rapid response grantmaking programs. Read an article by the Reconstruction Women’s Fund on how they partnered with Urgent Action Fund to pioneer rapid response grantmaking in Serbia.
- We are part of the Count Me In! Consortium, a global initiative to catalyze women’s rights advocacy and the philanthropic mechanisms that support it. The Count Me In! initiative runs from 2016 – 2020 and is made possible by the generous support of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- We are part of the CLIMA (Climate Leaders in Movement Action) Fund, launched in 2016 by UAF, Thousand Currents, Global Greengrants Fund, and Grassroots International. CLIMA is a unique collaborative fund that helps large funders to directly reach grassroots organizations and social movements that are working at the intersection of climate resilience and human rights.
We also build bridges for grassroots women’s rights activists to global support networks that assist human rights defenders.
